Who I am
About
Hi there. I’m Aurélien AMSELLEM.
By day I’m Director of Innovation. I love coding and tinkering — since I was a kid, it’s been my way of thinking and my way to unwind. AI rewired the way I prototype, test, and approach problems. So I spend a serious chunk of my time exploring what it actually changes when you love writing code — and I write about it here.
What you’ll find here
- AI in a developer’s daily workflow — Claude, Cursor, agents, MCP servers, prompts that hold up, prompts that crack the moment they hit real refactoring. What I keep, what I throw out.
- Local inference on real hardware — I run an Olares One (RTX 5090M 24GB, Core Ultra 9 275HX, 96GB DDR5), and document what it gives with llama.cpp, vLLM, KTransformers and friends. Reproducible benchmarks, no hype.
- Findings tested on real projects — ArXiv papers, agent frameworks, prompt patterns, new libraries. If I write about it here, I actually shipped it on real code, not on a toy tutorial.
What you won’t find
- No tribalism. When Claude wins on a complex refactoring, I’ll say so. When Qwen3.6 27B locally is enough for €0/month, I’ll say that too.
- No empty “top 5 models of 2026” lists without the exact config behind them.
- No Twitter hot takes. If I haven’t tested it, I don’t write it.
When
No editorial calendar, no weekly promise. I publish when there’s something genuinely worth sharing — and only then. If something here resonates, take it. If something feels wrong, tell me — I learn and I correct.
Olares One — affiliate link
The Olares team gave me a personal referral link as a thank-you for community contributions. If you were going to buy an Olares One anyway, going through this link gets you $400 off ($3,599 instead of $3,999) and pays me $200 per sale. Active until late June 2026.
I’m telling you out of transparency — and incidentally, it helps keep the blog alive (hosting, domain, the time I spend writing). For the record too: no benchmark published here was massaged to push this machine. The numbers are the numbers. It’s just that as long as Olares is offering a discount, you might as well take it.
